It's unbelievable that one year has passed since you passed on. No one has filled the gap you left. But we thank God that he had comforted our hearts as he has helped us to bear the pain of your passing. You live on in our hearts.

TRIBUTE TO UNCLE EMEKA EZEIGBO

My Dearest Uncle Emeka.... Hmmmmm.... This is still unbelievable.... it is with great pain that I write this tribute, your demise came as a rude shock and the pain has refused to go.

You are a great and irreparable loss to the EZEIGBO family and to mankind.

You are a man full of contentment, a rare virtue in today’s world. I have known you for about 29years and have never seen you get angry or frown at any situation; I remember my early years in marriage and you where always there for my mum who will always call on you to ask is this how Anambra men do this and do that?? Your wise counsel at those times assisted greatly to mature my marriage. Still finding it hard to write about you in the past....

You where a very good man, selfless, truthful, dependable, reliable and always ready and willing to assist regardless of how inconveniencing it is.

May the angels herald your homecomimg.
May the saints welcome you.
May heaven rejoice and celebrate you.
And may Christ crown you with eternal life. Through Christ Our Lord.

May your beautiful soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.

We love you so dearly and will forever miss you, but God loves you much more and knows best. It is well with your soul....

Daddy Sammy,

Hmmm...where do I start from? Still cant believe this tribute is for you...Is it about your gentle and selfless nature or your prayer style?

Your love for God and the things of God?Your knowledge about so many aspects of life, Or how you had become a brother/ father figure to me and our entire family? Is it your support and your advices and hailings of Ajums! Ajums!!

Oh! It was a rude and painful shock hearing about your demise.. No.. your transition from earth to be with the Lord and your saviour Jesus Christ

God used you in touching so many lives and you didn't even flinch even when it was obviously not convenient. We will miss you dearly and we will never forget you

Good night Chukwuemeka Hyacinth Ezeigbo.

Daddy Sammy,
I am still in a daze and find it difficult to accept the fact that you are gone. I remember our conversation on January 3, 2021@ the church and Simon's house.
You mentioned we should always take life easy not knowing you were going to go the easy way. How can this be true?
I still cant accept it. Just the thought of you makes me emotional and feeling really sad I didnt have the time to tell you goodbye.
You were such an amazing, kindhearted, gentle and full of life. I remember every memorable moments at you place when I visit with my family, those meaningful advices and not forgetting those sumptuous meals you would always instruct them to serve me. Your home was for everyone and I always look forward whenever it's time for you to pray. So calm, always talk sense and ready to listen to others perspectives when subjects are discussed.
You were a big brother and that vacuum can't be replaced by anyone. My only regret is one question I postponed till your demise. And the question is, why do you always travel for every event? To late but I know you gave your best.
My greatest joy is that I know you are in heaven because you served God with all of your heart. " we lost you but heaven gained"
Rest in Peace!!!!!

One of the most difficult tasks to do is to find the right words to describe the loss of a friend. No words can capture the depth of emotions for such a great loss.
I met Emeka about some 35 years ago when my then roommate and later best friend at the University of Maiduguri introduced him to me as her boyfriend.
This relationship that began in the 80's, evolved over the years. I was at their wedding as they were at mine, and at almost all major events in our lives because he was married to my friend.
Emeka was a family man. I knew him as a loving husband, a kind father to his son and a man of faith.
He was more than a friend, a big brother to me, too gentle to a fault, has never declined any request from me, accommodating, full of compassion and above all, a loyal and dependable friend.
We cannot know what God’s plan is for us, what we can do is to live out our lives as best as we can with purpose, love and with joy.
"The life of the dead is placed in the memory of the living"- Cicero. Emeka, your life is forever placed in the memory of all those you left behind; your wife, your son, your siblings and your friends.
We take solace and hope in the word of God in the book of Thessalonians 4:13-14 that says - "Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him."
Goodnight Hyacinth Chukwuemeka the son of Ezeigbo, you will never be forgotten. Adieu!

Daddy Sammie,
You were more than an in-law to me; you were my friend and older brother.

I still find it hard to say goodbye so I have decided to pretend you travelled and will take some time returning...

I remember your teasing and laughter. You always tried to ensure I was happy and well. I won't ever forget how you sat at my hospital bedside for 8 days some 12 years ago till I got well. Everyone thought you were my older brother with the way you took charge...

You were always willing to help and support. And you had no false airs or pretense around you. I learned a lot from you.

You have left a big vacuum...and I will miss your encouragements, prayers and support.

Daddy Sammie, you live on in my heart.
Rest in perfect peace

Daddy Sammie,

When your path crossed ours, you brought with you peace, joy and a sense of calm. You became a brother and a father to us. You were a man who feared God and walked with integrity. You were always there for us, giving the needed support even in difficult times. You were never weary of helping, praying for or spending yourself for others.

You generous hands and large heart we will not forget. How many people did you train, how many people did you accommodate, and how many times did you show cheerful hospitality - oh! what a man you were. A faithful husband, dedicated father, loving brother and uncle, caring in-law and true Christian. We love you and miss you but we cannot question God.

Rest in peace. Good night
