ForeverMissed

This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Emelinda Narvaez, 70, born on May 23, 1945 in Puerto Rico and passed away on December 2, 2015 in Bronx, NY. We will remember her forever.

Emelinda Narvaez rescued over 10,000 animals in her lifetime. She worked around the clock even in remission from cancer. On her sickest days she continued to work with abused, forgotten and neglected animals. Her days consisted of removing animals from unsafe and unwanted conditions, taking animals for veterinary care, feeding, cleaning, walking and most importantly, providing them with the love they have never had. Emelinda's goal was to find all her little angels loving fosters and adoptive forever homes. A video sharing her work can be found on her website www.earthangelsnyc.org

In 2015 alone, Emelinda rescued over 100 animals and provided support to those that had been adopted. Emelinda never gave up on a dog, rather providing training, and rehabilitation strategies. However, with Emelinda gone, some of the animals that were in her care now face an uncertain future.

Emelinda's volunteers are committed to continuing her mission and to find safe homes for her rescues. Unfortunately, her volunteers are left with little resources to help over a dozen dogs find forever homes. Earth Angels had no corporate funding, no big sponsors but a founder with a tireless mission that we wish to fulfill.  Please also visit Earth Angel's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Earth-Angels-Canine-Rescue-146879512035063/ for up to the date information and a wonderful holiday video of Emelinda taken just before she passed away.

This memorial is for Emelinda but also to support her little angels that are still on this earth and need our help. We ask that you please visit www.earthangelsnyc.org and donate even a small amount to help us find these remaining dogs continued care and a good forever home. We desperately need your support!

Emelinda, we love you and we are all committed to helping the angels that were in your care enjoy wonderful lives, peace be with you forever.

If not for Emelinda Narvaez I would not have most of my beloved dogs.
I was just thinking about her.
I wanted to say thank you to her for all she's done, and the joy that is in my life every day thanks to Emelinda.

My dear Emelinda,
I have been away for so long, and was grief-stricken to learn of your passing.
Yours was a light that shone so brightly in this world, that it shall never be extinguished. Whatever heaven you now call home, I know you are among the thousands of dogs, cats, and owners gone before you, whose lives you touched. And oh, there will be more. You were more than a friend, and more than a savior of animals in need: You were, and forever will be, the personification of seflessness, compassion, fearlessness, caring, and perseverance.
You may not have any statues erected in your honor, schools named after you, or a festival held in your rememberance, but, to me, you have something more real. Something that you truly earned. You have become a symbol of what it truly means to fight back against the wrongdoings, inequalities, and injustices we face in this world, and because of you, I, and so many others with lives touched by your goodness, will forever strive to be worthy of the love, patience, and friendship you so freely gave us.
Now, my dear friend, you are forever: Earth's Angel.
Rest In Peace, and know you are loved.
