Emily Currin Gardner, 77, of Wake Forest passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016.
A native of Granville County, born December 19, 1938 to the late Garland and Ellie Lou Currin. She taught school in Granville County for over twenty years. She was a faithful member of Banks United Methodist Church.
Memorial services will be conducted Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Banks United Methodist Church by Rev. Ray Gooch. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
Surviving are her daughter, Lou Ellen Guilette of Fayetteville, her son, Thad Currin Cherry of Cary, her nephews, Durward and Curt Parsley of Charleston, S.C., her niece, Ellen Oblow of Knoxville, TN. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Parsley.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening July 7, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Banks United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall Fund, 2632 NC Hwy 96, Franklinton, N.C. 27565.
