Achupa Mrembo,
I am thankful to God for the time he gave us together my sister, my friend!
I am thankful for the love we shared that knew no boundary, no shame, no guilt, no pride for that was true love.
I am thankful that we celebrated every big and little success together. I am thankful that we celebrated our children and for your constant reminder that God has been good to us.
I am thankful that we encouraged and lifted each other in our low moments and found comfort that made all the difference.
I am thankful for the deep connection we had, the daily conversations and the silly jokes that brightened our days.
I am thankful that you honored me to be your special ‘buddy’ that elevated us to fly Premier World for 3 good years. I am thankful for all the elegant gifts and for showing me every fashion spot so we would step out and shine!
I am thankful that you taught me the essence of friendship as you shared your love wholeheartedly with my family, siblings, parents and friends.
I am hopeful that when we finally meet at Jesus’ feet, we shall rejoice some more.
Till we meet again my sister…
Shine with the angels my Achupa Mrembo!

The first candle represents our grief.
The pain of losing you is intense.
It reminds us of the depth of our love for you.
This second candle represents our courage.
To confront our sorrow,
To comfort each other,
To change our lives.
This third candle we light in your memory.
For the times we laughed,
The times we cried,
The times we were angry with each other,
The silly things you did,
The caring and joy you gave us.
This fourth candle we light for our love.
We light this candle that your light will always shine.
We cherish the special place in our hearts
that will always be reserved for you.
We thank you for the gift
your living brought to each of us.
We love you.
We remember you Aunty Emily.

Dear Emily, the beautiful soul that you were, has made our former classmates come together, to celebrate your life. Sorry to hear that you were unwell, you are now in a better place. I met your children on Saturday, they have lovely souls like their mommy. Gone too soon! RIP!

Emili...you always laughed when I called you in Kikuyu accent.
There are certain people we meet who leave marks. You are such a person Emili.
I was telling our favorite waiter at 'Kahawa' Eco Bank building where (we used to have coffee) that you are no more... He just sat down at the table I was with my friends... and shed a tear.
Your genuine smile will be one that I will never forget
Emili.. I have lost a bit of weight and I was praying we would meet soon before Easter-I cat walk for you to check me out so that you could hand over the lilac lace dress I so admired on you.
My dreams were not valid.
Death o death - where is thy sting!!
Your passing has taught me that life is really precious and that there is need to spend as much time as we can with those we love - with those who mean anything to us.. and not wait for occasions like Easter Period et all.
We never know when will be the last time we see someone.
Emili, I will be praying for your beautiful children and God in His Infinite love will send His capable angels to watch their going, and their coming, their sleeping and their waking.
Emili, I pray that you are in Heaven finding your way.
Rest in eternal peace and I hope you took with you, your ☺ smile to show them how it is done there.

In the chill of the Sunday dawn, the angels looked down from heaven...
They probably needed one more rose to make the garden bright and lovely...
They searched
and saw a beautiful Lilly, a shining star.
They knew that very instant that they had found Heaven's centrepiece for the day.... and so on flighty wings, they took you up to heaven...
Smile down on us from heaven.
May your memories keep us free from hurt and pain.
You'll always be in our minds..
Fare Thee Well Emilly.
If I had known that would be the last time I talked to you, perhaps I would have spoken for a much longer time...
Perhaps I would have said more.

The laughter and jokes we shared together, I will forever "cherish"...
Dance with the angels dear...
I will forever love you...
