Emily G. Conklin, Mullica Hill, NJ, homemaker, gardener, and volunteer, died at home at age 96 on March 22, 2019. Emily was the daughter of Robert E. Godfrey and Hazel Wells Godfrey of Mt. Laurel, NJ. She was a graduate of Moorestown High School and New Jersey State Teachers College at Glassboro. She was predeceased by her husband James H. Conklin, son Roger, daughter Amy, and granddaughter Anna Marie Morgan. She is survived by sisters Gladys Carlson and Genevieve Schachle; daughters Loann Scarpato (Victor), Marie Linton (David), and Frances (Dennis Sullivan); son James (Gelise); grandchildren Victoria Welborn, Victor Scarpato III, Grant Lean, Riley Morgan, and James Conklin; and great-grandsons Isaac and Michael Morgan. Family and friends are invited to gather Sat., Sept. 14, 11am to 12 noon at FERTIG FUNERAL HOME, 63 N. Main St., Mullica Hill, NJ 08062, where Emily’s life will be honored at noon. Interment private.
