My Mother took me everywhere she went as a young boy, of course this was back in the day when you didnt worry about your kids so much being harmed in any way.  My sister and her husband had moved in the house next door to us and my mother and sister went to Kmart to shop for curtains.  Of course they took me with them.  Well they dropped me off in the toy department and they went off to look for curtains.  As a kid I didnt pay any attention to the time or how long I had been in the toy department.  All of a sudden I looked up and the lights began to go off.  So I went looking for my Mother and she was no where to be found.  I even went outside and looked for the car and didnt see it.  I went inside and the manager was at the service desk and I told him I could not find my Mother.  Well he comforted me and assured me everything would be alright.  I dont remember crying at all and I even gave him our phone number!  I was only five years old, even today Im amazed I knew our number.  Well he called my house and my Mother answered the phone.  He said Mrs. Kincaid do you have a little boy named Jeff?  She lost it, everyone at the house was putting their coats on and headed out and my brother-n-law said well someone needs to stay with your Mother, she was still in shock LOL!  Needless to say I was picked up by my Father and sister and returned home just fine.  I was never left alone in the store again LOL!

This next adventure was a hoot!  Of course it was at Kmart, Walmart was not even hear of, I was older around 10 I guess, well we had been shopping and was at night and as we left the store we got in the car and was headed out of the parking lot to the main road to head home.  My mother pulled up behind the car ahead of us and we waited and waited and she blew the horn saying why dont they go on its clear!  Well after waiting a little bit I looked and said Mother we are behind a parked car!  She thought it was the exit but we was behind a parked car next to the exit LOL  We both laughed and laughed.
