This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Emmanuel Allen, 42, born on January 1, 1972 and passed away on January 15, 2014. He was a handsome, ever-smiling, and vivacious soul who hardly ever got angry. No one ould resist his infectious laughter that always gathered momentum to its peak.

Yemi was also a man of wisdom and discretion. He was hardworking, ambitious and above all, passionate about God. Adeyemi was a focused man who was on a journey of fulfilling his purpose before he answered the call beyond. He was a loving husband to Tokunbo and a caring father to Sarah and Mary. He was a faithful brother and a loyal friend. He will always be fondly remembered with love.

Sleep on beloved!

I received the shattering news that you are no longer with us a few days after committing my dad to mother earth. The last time we spoke over the phone some few years ago, we both agreed on doing everything to make the future better for our children. Now my thoughts are different knowing that the God we serve shall watch over them and grant you eternal rest.
Goodnight brother, till we meet to part no more.

Sleep well my darling friend till we meet again.

Many have spoken on this untimely death of a colleague. Death, is an inevitability of life. The only solace we have is that we know you are RESTING IN THE BOSSOM OF THE LORD. ADIEU YEMI ALLEN.

When the news broke, I stood still and in a flash the memories of our times together ran through; Our meetings in Abuja! The shopping runs! The Airport excess luggage runs! Etc, In all, communicating with you was easy and sweet. You are specially gifted with tender listening skills and your responses are like pictures of apples in diamond frames. Like diamonds, you will live on in our hearts. I trust the good Lord will grant you special welcome!

This is unbelievable, an irreplaceable lose.
Bros, if I could reach up & hold a star for every time you've made me smile, the entire evening sky would be in the palm of my hand.
I remember the good old days when you lived @ Sanda Street, Molete, Ibadan. The good times I spent with you & bro Femi.
Also, I remember when we attended Jah Jehovah Jireh Church No 1 with Aunty Iyabo Olowu, aunty Yemisi Daodu, Mummy & bro Femi.
I remember you & FemT then @ Ibadan Grammar School when u used to dance thriller& co.
I remember you then @ UI, Mellanby Hall with Laolu.
Death, why did you take him away soon?
Hmmmmm! It is foolish & wrong to mourn the man who died. Rather we should thank God that such man lived. (George S. Patton Jnr.)
Yemie, sleep softly, rest in peace.
This is not an ending, but this is actually the beginning of your new life. This is not death but your birth into eternity.
You will always be in my thoughts & heart & will always long for the time that we would meet again.
Goodbye brother.

Rest in the bosom of the Lord dear one - Yemi Allen! Death snatched your beautiful spirit and your pleasant soul away...O death where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory? So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Cor 15:55 -57). We love you dearly and miss you greatly.

Deeply saddened and bewildered to learn about the sudden passing of your extraordinary soul. We all have questions for God for allowing you to depart suddenly in your prime but we know it is a call to glory for an enigmatic and God fearing soul like you cannot have less.

I am happy to have crossed your path for you walked with me when I needed a friend.

Your foot prints will forever remained in the sands of time.

Rest in perfect peace bros.

Yemi, you were more than a friend to me, you were my brother with that great smile that always makes me laugh. Lied to myself that I would not shed any tear, knowing that you have gone to a better place but the memories of our adolescent years keeps coming back. What a beautiful soul were Yemi, for that I will dearly miss you. I pray that our Heavenly Father assuage your family the anguish of this bereavement and leave only your cherised memory.

If we could have a lifetime wish
A dream that would come true,
We would pray to God with all our hearts
For a yesterday and you.
A thousand words can’t bring you back,
We know, because we tried;
And neither will a million tears,
We know, because we cried.
You left behind our broken hearts
And happy memories too which we will forever hold on to.
We want you here with us but God love you more.
You'll forever be remembered.....

It's a privilege to have known you friend. Our time together in school was filled with a lifetime supply of that enriching smile of yours . You're no longer here in flesh but you remain with us.

To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die. Adieu friend! Till we meet again.

Death hides....it cannot divide
Thou art but on the other side with Christ
Thou art with Christ and Christ with me
And so together, still are we.
Through your reflection, your memories which I will forever cling unto I will carry on the torch....we were inseparable in life, death will not have victory over us......I will hold on to that which you taught me and I will let our children know.....I will never say goodbye

My Luv..
have only just lost you the pain is hard to bear
Do I have to go through life knowing you're not there
please some one explain to me why you had to go
are there any reasons I really need to know
I sit here and remember all the lovely times we shared
the talks the laughter of every one you cared
I am told the pain will ease in time
and I will think of you without a tear
but that will be impossible as I need to have you here
You are my very world and my ever guiding star
Just kiss me softly on the cheek and tell me where you are

Today, as we mark 10 years since your departure, my heart is filled with both sorrow and gratitude. Sorrow for the loss that still lingers, but gratitude for the precious moments we shared and the lasting impact you had on my life.

You were a pillar of calmness, bringing a sense of peace to every situation. Your gentle demeanor and reassuring presence gave us comfort during life's storms. It was your unwavering strength that held our family together, just like you held me in your arms.

Family meant everything to you, and your love for our daughters was boundless. You adored them with a passion that was unmatched. You were their hero, just as your own mother was yours. The love and respect you had for her served as a beautiful example of the values you instilled in our family.

Your intelligence was extraordinary, and your command of the English language,
Not only were you intellectually gifted, but you were also blessed with striking handsomeness. Your captivating smile and kind eyes could light up any room. But it was your inner beauty, your genuine love and compassion for others, that truly made you shine.

Your faith in God was unwavering. You found solace in the pages of the Bible, and your devotion to prayer was an inspiration to us all. Your spirituality guided you through life's challenges and brought you closer to the divine. You taught us the importance of faith and the power of a deep and abiding relationship with God.

You were my rock, my confidant, and my best friend. You supported me in every endeavor, including my English studies, which led to the A's I achieved in my English class. Your belief in me fueled my determination and gave me the strength to overcome any obstacles.

The joy you brought into our lives was immeasurable. Your infectious laughter and playful spirit created countless cherished memories. Our time together was filled with love, laughter, and a deep sense of connection. The void you left behind is vast, but the love we shared will forever be etched in my heart.

Today, as we honor your memory, I find solace in knowing that you are in a better place, watching over us with love and pride. Your legacy lives on through our daughters, who carry your kindness, intelligence, and love for God within them.

Through the pain of your absence will never fully fade, I will forever be grateful for the time we had together. Your love transformed my life, and I am a better person because of you. Until we meet again, I will hold you close in my heart, cherishing the memories we made and finding strength in the love we shared.

A poem to a loved one - Yemi Allen

January 18, 2014

Lively...

like the warmth that leaps leverage from a fertile farm

Your arm...

A mirror of the constant glow of your friendship

that jolts us awake from the tattered slumber of pain's sleep.

Your love lifts like a pulley...

a mechanism of angelic comfort

when the brow is crossed

and the mind tossed.

You remain with us

despite your journey

forever in our hearts!
