The year of 1995 was an amazing year for me, for many reasons, but the BEST part was when I was introduced to a big, burly man that they called Big Eric, he was very intimidating looking man, but once I got to k know him, I quickly learned that he was a giant teddy bear. Very caring of his family and friends, he loved EVERYONE that was important to him, very loyal, and quickly became my Best Friend. He helped me thru the lost of someone that was important to me, I don’t think I would’ve made it thru that if it wasn’t for him. A little while after getting to know him and became VERY VERY close, I introduced him to my Aunt Linda and it was almost immediately obvious that he fell deep in love with her and she fell head over heels for this giant teddy bear of a man. They proved the love they had for one another when they got married with family and friends there to witness them becoming a family. Having Eric ( I call him Unc ) as a Best Friend AND my Uncle was the BEST THING that could’ve happened to me. He was ALWAYS there for me when I needed him, he was an AMAZING Role Model for my oldest son, Bubbie, he was the glue to our family, the leader, the referee when needed, a shoulder to cry on, someone to listen to your worries, problems, anything. Never too busy for family, which is what meant the absolute Most to him, was family, didn’t matter if you were blood related or just a close friend, you were family to him. I can’t express just how bad it hurts that he isn’t around anymore. There is a piece of me missing and will always remain there, until we meet again, someday, until then, I am hanging on to the memories that he blessed me with before leaving us. Unc, you were my rock, my BEST FRIEND, my Unc, I am lost without you. Truly, I love you so much and am so sorry that I didn’t tell you that enough before you left. I hope you know just how much you mean to me and always will. Hope you are up there, pain free, able to move around freely and are looking down on us. You are now my Guardian Angel. I love and miss you to the core of my heart. Rest In Peace.

I just found out of Eric's passing . I lived with Eric with the Olivers when we were foster children. He will be missed, just wish we would of stayed in touch .
