I snapped this photo of Eric and Erin on the campus of Norfolk State University, in Virginia, when I used to visit with them often. This is how I remember Eric, in fact, this is the age he was when I last saw him (not spoke to him), so I remember him well at this age. You can tell by the photo, he’s all of these things: cute, warm, funny, loving, silly, and mischievous!

When we’d all be in the car with Patsy, there were times when Eric would have Patsy screaming, “ERIC!!! Get out! Just get out of my car!” (This would be within a block or two of their house). Eric was nonchalant, he’d get out, like that was what he’d set out to accomplish from the beginning. LOL. I didn’t go to say final good-byes, this is how I want to remember Eric.
