Eric Matthew Lash, 58, passed away Friday, April 26, 2024, at Kettering Medical Center following a long illness.

It’s hard to summarize such a unique life into just a few paragraphs.

Eric was born January 14, 1966, in Dayton, Ohio. After graduating from Tippacanoe High School in 1982, he went on to play college football at Fairmont State University in West Virginia. He loved all things air and space, and later became an avionics technician at Lunken Airport in Cincinnati, OH.

 He loved music, cooking, and trips to the “junk store”; often bringing home treasures that he had to explain to his family what they were. He will always be remembered for his effortless sense of humor, infectious laugh, never-ending dedication to his family, and for being the king of the world. 

 He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cindy Lash (née Brammer), his 3 children he couldn’t stop bragging about: Alexandra (Christopher Flynn), Brittany, and Colton (Crystal Mercer); his grandsons Landon and Parker, whom he adored with his whole heart; his beloved mother Linda Lash (née Franish); as well as his siblings Mark (Cindy), Steve, Angie Hagemeyer (Eric), Ben (Patricia) and various extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Gary Lash.
