Ernest Clifford Hebert, 67, of South Lyon, Michigan, beloved husband and best friend of Evelyn (Gulli) Hebert for 39 years, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by the ones he laughed with, lived for, and loved on January 7, 2014.
He was predeceased by his father Clarence Clifford Hebert.
Ernie was born in Detroit and lived in the suburbs most of his life. He attended the University of Michigan and received a BA. He later on went to earn a Masters in Business from Eastern Michigan University. He had a passion for learning and a love of history.
Ernie worked as a regional group insurance manager out of Brighton and enjoyed running his own office. He had many longtime business associates, of which many became his close friends.
Besides his wife Evelyn (Bella), Ernie is survived by his daughter Wendy Hebert of South Lyon, and his grandchildren, Jillian and Michael, and sister Deborah (Hebert) Pruitt of Auburndale Florida; l; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the members of the Henry Ford Hospice and Palliative Care Association. family gatherings when we were all together. Christmas ' at the Vieceli's , pool parties at Zia Olga's, boat rides with Captain Ernie, Point Pelee (that was too, too funny) and many more. He will be missed. In life He was blessed with a wonderful family. May his afterlife be blessed with peace.
You were the funnest, funniest uncle anyone could ever ask for! I have so many memories growing up on Bainbridge with you! You treated me like your daughter and always welcomed me and ALL my friends on your boat!! Taking me on vacations with your family that were priceless memories for me. I will never forget them or you! Thank you Uncle Ernie! You will be remembered always! Lori
