Mr. Ernest Little was born December 19th 1933 to Charlie and Ethel Little in Epes Alabama. As a malleable yet industrious young man Ernest worked and ran errands for local Birmingham dentists. Thus he embarked on a journey that would lead him to be enthralled in one of his first passions, dental technology. He was then drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served proudly in the U.S. Dental Detail at Fort Polk La. Afterwards, he continued his education by attending Parker High School at night to attain a GED diploma. Later, Ernest moved to the bright lights and bustle of New York City where he attended dental technology school to further perfect his craft and receive his certification.

After returning to Birmingham Ernest met and married Millie L. Jackson and raised three children, Craig L. Little, Leah O. Jackson and Vincent R. Jackson. Ernest also was proud to start his own business which he indeed named Dental Crafts. He even enrolled in UAB School of Business to learn more about being a proprietor. His work was some of the most sought after among Birmingham’s dentists and Ernest went on to unselfishly serve his community by offering high quality yet affordable products for a great many years. His personal accomplishments would pale in comparison though, to his kindness, compassion, forgiveness, generosity, humility, humor, intellect, and love he often shared.

Ernest was also enamored by nature, gardening, dancing, antiques, and collectibles. However, Ernest did not allow any worldly hobbies or prospects to be overshadowed by his close relationship with Christ and this was reflected in his daily conversation, as well as his constant giving and sharing. Ernest rose early each morning with thankful prayer and listening to Christian programming and went to sleep with the same routine. He anxiously attended church until and if He was to sick he would pray and study at home without any complaint or murmuring. Most importantly, he would share his faith with patience, kindness, and discernment with anyone willing to listen. Ernest was a longtime member of the United Church of God. He looked forward to and loved attending God's annual convocations during the fall of each year along with his family, friends and other church brethren. This was a time of joyous fellowship, reflection, rejuvenation, and learning for him. Ernest Lee Little passed away peacefully at the mercy of God on June 7, 2019 at Diversicare Nursing Home in Birmingham Alabama. He is survived by his family, Millie Jackson, Leah Jackson, and Craig Little, and Marcus Little his grandson. His sister Ira, His brothers William and Leslie.
