I always enjoyed taking care of Mr. Merritt, he always had a smile on his face and I always teased him about getting into the Merritt family, may he be at peace and soaring on the angel's wings.
First Sergeant Retired Ernest Merritt passed away Friday March 3rd, at Gentiva Hospice at the age of 81.
The Homegoing Celebration for 1SG Merritt will be Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 12 noon at Holsey Chapel CME Church with entombment at Parkhill Cemetery. Pastor Javon Jackson will officiate.
Full Military Honors will be accorded.
Visitation is Friday, 2 til 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
