On Tuesday April 3, 1951, the late Mr. Grady and Mrs. Mary L. Whigham Sr. welcomed into this world Ernestine Whigham.

Tine as she affectively known began her faith walk with god at new MT Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life, she united with Trinity life church and served faithful. She was also a dedicated volunteer at Narrow Way.

She was educated in the Barbour County Public Schools. She furthered her education at Tuskegee Institute now Tuskegee University. While attending Tuskegee University, she met the love of her life James Howell Milan. To this union, two sons, James Bernard and Mark Anthony were born.

On Sunday, November 15, 2015, God went into his rose garden and called the name of Ernestine Whigham Milan and she quietly closed her eyes and went to be with her lord.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, brother James, grandson Eddie, sister Annie Mae, sister-in-law Doris and niece Catherine.

She leaves to continue her legacy a beloved husband James Howell, two loving and devoted sons: James B (Deborah) Milan; Union Springs, Al, Mark A Milan; Clayton, Al. Three loving granddaughters: Kanesha K. Hicks; Montgomery, Al, Dacetti S. Milan; Union Springs, Al, and Amari S. Milan; Union Springs, Al. Loving and dedicated siblings: Grady Whigham Jr.; Clayton, Al, Dorothy Massey; Clayton, Al, Elizabeth Whigham; Detroit, MI, Mary J. (Earl) Russell; Eufaula, Al, and Harvey Whigham; Montgomery, Al. Loving brothers and sister: William (Lillian) Milan; Chicago, IL, Anthony (Late Doris) Taylor; Fayetteville, TN, Mary Ella (Waymond) Buchanan; Fayetteville, TN, Peggy (Pleas Jr) Dowell; Nashville, TN, Valeria (John) Thomison; Peterburg, TN, Odey Parks; Fayetteville, TN and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
