Ernestine T. Broom 76, affectionately known as Tina broom left this world to be joined with her many family members and her Savior Jesus Christ in the wee hours of the morning of September 28.

Tina was born January 13th 1945 was raised by her grandfather Tom Reid grandmother Rosie Reid and several aunts and uncles she lived in the town of Boaz off Walnut Street.
She moved to Birmingham as a teenager working as a waitress at the old Pancake House downtown where she met her husband to be Ronnie D. Broom. They were happily married for 54 years until his passing in 2018. Tina dropped out of school to work and help support her family it wasn't until after getting married and having 3 children that she got her GED then went to Jefferson State college for her degree In nutrition, where she worked as a lunchroom worker while her children were at school then got to move up as a manager, this afforded her the same time off work in the summer months with her children. Tina was very involved with her church many years at 4th Avenue Baptist and later years at Huffman Baptist. One great thing Tina expressed through her life was generosity always willing to give to others in need. She learned by example through her Aunt Daisy Reid.

Tina was preceded by death by her mother Imogene Reid, her son Tommy Broom, son Ronald Broom, her husband Ronnie D. Broom and is survived by daughter Terrie L. Broom, grandchild Halie N. Turner,3 great grand children, Amelia, Elijah and Winnery.
