Ervin D. “Buck” King, 68, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Duke Regional surrounded by his family. He was of the Baptist faith and self- employed.

He was the son of the late Edward King and Meta Brogden King. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jacob King and William King.

He is survived by a daughter, Gayla King Lassiter (Kevin) of Stem, a granddaughter, Amber McFalls Sarver (Josh) of Oregon, a grandson, Neil Lassiter of Stem, a great-grandson, Landen Sarver of Oregon, a brother, Robert “Ned” King (Lurline), a sister, Mattie (Polly) Riggan of Butner, and many nieces, nephews and close friends.

A visitation celebrating Buck’s life will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. at Living Word Baptist Church, 1155 Green Rd. in Creedmoor.

Omission of flowers is requested and donations may be made to the Funeral Home to help with funeral services.
