*TRIBUTE TO 'AMAMA"*

"Those we love never truly leave us. There are things that death can not touch" - Jack Thorne

How do I start my tribute in memory of a wonderful matriarch, she was beautiful, humane, a devoted and committed lover of God. I shared a very deep and interesting relationship with "AMAMA".

Firstly, she loved me for been so much a resemblance of her dad. Secondly, she extended the love she had for my mum to me. So, it was easy for us to connect on spirituality, family, her loaded aphorisms and wisdom nuggets about life.

I loved her and she loved me. Whenever we got talking in her free time, her constant homilies were around faith and God, first of all, your well-being and family. There are few people who lovingly and excitingly call my full name without abbreviation, oreoluwa was a rhythmic and boisterous echo on AMAMA's lips whenever we saw or having phone conversations. Another fascinating thing about our matriarch was that even as her energy waned, virility and vigour faded; her passion for God never waned.
The few times we spent together under the same roof was characterized by her idiosyncratic jiggling of early morning bell for her morning devotion which became my alarm bells during my postgraduate studies. AMAMA was a lover of prayer and a committed reader of the Bible.

Well, you may be wondering what brought about the appendage AMAMA, that's my expression of joy, appreciation and adulation of a committed, hardworking, caring mother and grandmother.

This is indeed a celebration of life. Our loss is heaven's gain. We love you but God loves you more. Even though you have left us, our fondest memories of you linger with us and that we will cherish indelibly.
Làálàá alágbàse ti tán!
Adieu AMAMA till we meet on the ressurection morning.
