Mama Okwe, OZ London, Esy Nwa Mma!! Six years already, indeed time flies, it still seems like yesterday. May your beautiful soul continue to rest with the Lord Mama, the void you left is still hollow with nothing to fill the vacuum, if only it's possible to re-visit yesterday but alas, yesterdays are gone forever ,still missing you!
Dear Aunty Esther Oji: We give thanks and glory to God for the fulfilling life you lived on earth. We thank God for the numerous blessings He showered u to you and your extended families. We thank God for the legacy your left behind and for the indelible footprint you left on the sand of time. We thank God for your kindness and generosity directly and indirectly to all. We thank God for the long life you were blessed with and for the unbroken bond of love and affection within and outside of your respectable family. We thank God for your caring husband and for your children particularly Ngozi and Kingsley, for your grandchildren and great grandchildren left behind to bid you a deserving farewell. You are indeed the last of the great aunts from Chief Nnubia's nuclear family. Adios Nwanne nne m and may your soul rest in eternal peace.
To a dear aunt, your departure marked the end of an era for you shined in your generation and outlived your generation.
You were born into a great family with a rich history, fame, fortune and privilege. You lived well, aged gracefully and could easily pass for someone much younger than you. I knew you were advancing in age but as if one could muscle death, I asked Kingsley in January to tell you to stay put.
I have many cherished memories to recount. My siblings and I grew up with yours, and your daughter Ngozi was a role-model to us. As a teenager in Secondary School, I spent some of my holiday periods in Enugu. Before school resumed, you would give pocket money and gifts but most importantly impart life lessons and advise to a budding young man. You forged a close bond with your siblings especially my mother and your brothers. It is up to us now to carry forward the legacy.
From you, the product of several years of childlessness, would come forth many generations and counting of biological offspring and survivors - children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. God truly works in mysterious ways, and to Him only be the glory.
Rest in Peace dear aunty. You will be sorely missed!
