MCDONALD, Esther Maureen

Age 80, of Hatchet Lake, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the QE2 Health Sciences Center on October 13, 2016. Born on May 20, 1936, she is the daughter of the late Reginald and Jennie Slaunwhite. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gerald; her children, Donna, Brenda and Kevin (Zaneta); grandchildren, Nicole (Charles), Sarah (Justin), Christopher and Bryan (Kelsey); great grandchildren, Alyssa, Damien, Dakota, and Lauren. She is also survived by her loyal and loving dog Diamond; brothers, Jerry (Carol), Joe (Nina), Gary, John, and many nephews and nieces. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers, William(Dick), Manny, and Kenny; sisters, Mary, Marcella, and Jeanette, and her great grandson Keagan. Cremation has taken place and at the request of the family, there will be no visitation or funeral. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of unit 8.2 during her stay in the hospital and her family physician of several years Dr. Crooks.
