Miss Ethel Mae Stone was born to the late Mrs. Nora Strozier and Mr. John Stone on August 17, 1925. She joined Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She later joined Miracle Missionary Baptist Church.

Sister,Stone served on the Pastor's Aide and was the Mother of the Church.

Sister Stone was preceded in death by two children, Willie Mae Banks and Lillie Mae Lauderdale.

Sister Stone is survived by four children: Alice Faye Price of Dadeville, Alabama; Manuel (Tammy) Stone of Opelika, Alabama; Shirly S (Larry) Woodyard of Dadeville, Alabama; and Charles Anthony (Diane) Stone of Alexander City, Alabama; 32 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren, 17great-great grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
