Spoke with Mom mostly about you for about an hour or more [technically yesterday] your ministry: the impact, your integrity, humility & so much more. We just went on and and on. You life was a living testimony, one who practiced what he preached & never compromised when it came to your christian walk. Your legacy is undeniable & I will forever let my children & their children and so on and so on
know who you were and what you stood for. 17 yrs feels like yesterday still. Can't wait to see you again, I know I will & I am looking forward to it. Until then aforever In Our Hearts- Love Always Vee

Visited (your) Church & Gravesite Last Sunday- The 16th Anniversary of your passing...16 LONG YEARS & IT STILL HURTS LIKE YESTERDAY. Mom still misses you like crazy and literally EVERY-DAY we are reminded of something you would have done, said or sang (mostly funnies) and it brings joy to our hearts especially Mom's. We will continue to take care of "Your Beloved' -of course Nobody Can Do It Like You Did Dad, but Thankfully You Left A VIVID Roadmap-FOREVER LOVED & FOREVER MISSED- Your Popo

Hi Daddy This past year was a bit trying, but we are doing well so far ( Thank God).. The family is growing and Kai now understands who he was named after. Mommy is trying, she really is, but I don't think she will ever get over the loss of you; I don't think any of us will. With the way things are going however I don't think it will be too long until we see you again...Until then-Never Forgotten & Forever Loved-Vee

Coincidence?

April 24, 2011

Imagine this-The first time Bennie & I meet in NYC is on the anniversary of your death-totally unplanned? Now that is no coincidence, this is destiny.  You brought us together in life and still doing it in 'death' I know you will never die-You Live On-Love You Daddy!

Pastor Eugene Gibbs

When I pastored in St. Vincent in the 1960’s and 1970’s, I was privileged to meet this blessed servant of God. From the first day Eugene and I met, we knew that a lifelong meaningful and profitable relationship had begun between us, our families, and our churches.

Eugene and I were so close, we even looked alike. What a gentleman in every sense of the word he was. We both learned many things from each other, but the greatest lesson learned by us both was to never take for granted nor despise anyone God puts in our lives. After all, the reason we are alive in the earth is to build good relationships.

When this is truly done and we are gone, our lives continue in all those with whom we share our values. Eugene is alive in all of us.
