Gene was a meat cutter by trade and worked for Dominion Groceries stores and owned and operated his own business “Cameron’s Meats”. He also worked for the Irving Oil Refinery Security at Gate 8,  for many years, retiring in 2008. Gene was a member of St. Mary’s-St. Bartholomew Church and the Adanac Club; enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and gardening.He was a talented cook and was very good at BBQ’s
