Eula Ann (Sally) Weary Newby, 77, a resident of Bullock, North Carolina passed away on December 25, 2013 at her home. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Sally has been reunited with her loving husband, Raymond Harding Newby. She was the daughter of the late Amos and Cora Williamson Weary. She was a member of Marrow’s Chapel United Methodist Church and retired from Lenox China.
She is survived by two daughters, Ginger Morris (Stevie) and Lisa Carver (Brad); two special step sons Marvin Newby (Carline) and Bill Newby (Barbara), seven grandchildren; Landrum Carver, Jacob Carver, Michael Newby, Kathryn Celentano, Charles Newby, Renee Daniels and Tracy Newby, nine great-grand children; Lauren Celentano, Davey Celentano, Elizabeth Newby, Will Newby, John Michael Newby, Ashley Daniels, Nathan Daniels, Lillie Merrill and Buddy Merrill, two sisters; Marie Williamson of Stovall and Ida Keeton of Bullock, one brother; Charlie Weary of Bullock and numerous special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a step son, Larry Newby, brother Johnny Weary and three sisters; Katie Reams, Lucy Yancey and Mary Richardson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Marrow’s Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Darrel Bowles. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. December 28, 2013 at Marrow’s Chapel United Methodist Church and at other times at her home in Bullock. Flowers are omitted and contributions can be made to Marrow’s Chapel United Methodist Church in care of Marshall Tingen, 9034 McDuffie Rd. Bullock, NC 27507.
