Miss Eunice Elaine Parker of Columbus passed away Thursday at Azalea Trace Nursing Home. She was 70 years of age.

The daughter of Esker and Marie Dixon Parker, Miss Parker was born in Columbus, GA and was a 1963 graduate of Spencer High School. She attended Columbus Technical School where she obtained a degree as a Licensed Cosmetologist, and worked under the direction of Mrs. Marion Crowder. She later owner and operated her own shop. She was a life-long member of the Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an Usher and with the Mission. Other than her parents, Miss Parker was preceded in death by three siblings, Mary F. Rogers, Benjamin Smith and her beloved twin sister, Bernice Parker.

Survivors include: three brothers, Clarence H. smith, Jr., Marvin L. Smith, Sr. (Lula) and Elbert W. Smith (Ann); a very special niece and her "namesake", Eunice Parker Smith (Brian); a devoted cousin, Ann "Sis" Terry; a host of other nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
