Eunice Wilson Williford, 91, a resident of Brantwood Nursing Home, died June 5, 2011.

A native of Franklin County, the widow of John D. Williford and the daughter of the late John Shelton and Rosa Blair Wilson.  She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Henderson and retired from John Umstead and Granville Medical Center in Henderson as a LPN.

Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Father Bill Upah.

Surviving are three sons, John Williford, Jr. (Doris), Robert Williford (Arlene), Danny Williford (Judy), all of Oxford, eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry N. Williford (Betty) and ten brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 8, 2011 prior to the funeral service at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford.

Flowers are accepted of memorials may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 3275 US 158 Bypass, Henderson, North Carolina 27537.

I was very sorry to hear of Aunt Eunice's passing. Please know that you are in my prayers and my heart. I loved your mother almost as much as I loved my own. I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt Eunice! She was awesome!

Please know I'm thinking about you (esp. John & Commissioner Williford)during your Mom's recent death. I had no idea Mrs. Williford was your mother, I worked at Granville Medical for a while and remember her well.   With love & prayers

Our sympathy goes out to Bob and his entire family in the death of Mrs. Williford. She was well loved and looked after by her family. She was a wonderful friend to us and now she is in Heaven with "the apple of our eye~~Pat Wilson! God Bless you all
