Her Life

Miss Eva Mae Mitchell was born December 26, 1944 to the late Mary Nell and Edward Mitchell Sr. of Meriwether  County.  She departed this life on Friday, October 24,2014 at Piedmont Hospital (Atlanta, Georgia ).  

Eva joined Shiloh Baptist Church at a very young age. She was a member of the Usher Board  of Shiloh Baptist Church until her death. She was employed at Norma Paschall’s of Peachtree City, Georgia, until her health failed her.

Two siblings preceded her in death:  one brother, William Mitchell and one sister, Geraldine Martin.  

She leaves to cherish her memory:  three daughters,  Shirley Rosser (Haralson, Ga.), JoAnn(Charles) Anderson (Gay, Ga.), and Sallie (John) Whatley (Gay, Ga.); six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Virginia Mitchell (Alabama), Minnie Lou Barber (Gay, Ga.), and Barnell Thrash (Senoia, Ga.) and one brother, Edward Mitchell Jr. (Velma), (Grantville, Ga.); four aunts, Mrs. Lucille Simpson (Detroit Mich.), Mrs. Sallie Roberts (Columbus, Ga.), Mrs. May Bell Leslie (Gay, Ga.), Mrs. Mildred Gordon (Senoia, Ga.), one uncle, Mr. Willie Horace (Carrie) Woodard (Columbus, Ga.). She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends to cherish her memory. Two special nieces Marquiata Barber (Gay, Ga.) and Angela Blackshear (Haralson, Ga.) and one special nephew Terry Barber (Gay, Ga.).
