Evelyn Graham Woodson, age 91, a former resident of Marion, Atmore, and Magnolia Springs, Alabama passed away at a nursing facility in Birmingham, Alabama on May 11th, 2019.

She was born December 27, 1927 in Canoe, Alabama to Paul Taylor Graham and Gladys Lee Graham.She graduated from Escambia County High School in Atmore in 1946 and from the University of Alabama in 1950.Following graduation and for her entire career spanning over thirty years she was employed by the Auburn University Extension Service as a home agent in Marion.

She married Claude S. Woodson, Jr. in 1991, and they resided in Magnolia Springs until his death in 2013.Mrs. Woodson was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, John Wesley Graham.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mary Helen Graham; nephews, John Wesley Graham, Jr. (Jennifer), Anthony Scott Graham (Jose N. Arreguin), and Paul Thomas Graham (Evelyn); great nephews Andrew Julian Graham, Carl Thomas Graham, Samuel Taylor Graham, George Gonzalez Graham, Jack Martin Graham, and Thomas Bowab Graham; and a great niece, Anne Cadman Graham.Additional survivors include her husband’s children, Claude S Woodson, III, Annette Woodson Mitchell, and Emily Woodson Frank.

A graveside service will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore, Alabama at a later date.

Professional services provided by W. E. Lusain Funeral Home and Crematory in Birmingham, Alabama.
