Granny, there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you, can picture your smile, see things that remember your goodness but the reality is you're not here in flesh and I miss that. You will always have a special place in my heart as I cherish the many conversations you and I had and how your advice has made me into the stellar woman that I am today. You now have your husband, your only daughter, a son, and a granddaughter with you now and I know that Heaven is jumping with them there with you. Until we meet again continue to rest in peace for when you left you took a part of me with you. Love you forever and ever!

It has been 8 long years and it still seems like yesterday that the best grandmother had left this earth for eternal rest. I still miss our conversations and laughter. I know that you are no longer suffering with the aches and pains which comforts me at times but I still get teary-eyed missing that beautiful smile. May you continue to Rest In Heaven until we meet again. You will always have a special place in my HEART!

Love you still,
Debbie

You will forever hold a spot in my heart. Until we meet again, Love you!

Today is a somber day for me. While I am glad that the Lord woke me up this morning I still tend to feel a little blue because this is the day 6 years ago that he called you home for eternal rest. A tear(s) continue to fall each year as it steadily reminds me of one of the most important persons in my life who is no longer physically here. I will ALWAYS love you and REMEMBER your goodness, faithfulness, and the support and love that you showed me while on earth. May you continue to R.I.Paradise.

Love and miss you,

I really felt quite special
That God had chosen you
To be a person in my life
Who knew me through and through
The time that we spent talking
I always felt you heard
You were so good at listening
To each and every word
Even things I didn't share
You somehow heard them too
It was a special gift of care
That God had given you
So I just want to thank you
For being there for me
Showing me love that was so true
By loving me totally.
Love and miss you Grandma,

Debbie

A Grandmother Just Like You

I just want to let you know
You meant the world to me
Only a heart as dear as yours
Would give so unselfishly

The many things you've done
All the time that you were there
Helped me know deep down inside
How much you really cared

Even though I might not have said
I appreciated all you do
Richly blessed is how I feel
Having had a GRANDMOTHER just like you!

Love Debbie

In my Rose Garden of memories
I see you standing there
An angel in disguise
Who taught me how to care
I long to hear your voice
for real not in my dreams
I am missing you so much these days
how empty my world seems
People say time heals all wounds
that someday the pain will subside
But Grandma I can tell you
I think they must have lied
The emptiness I am feeling now
is strong and I am weak
These days go by without you
so dreary and so bleak
In my Rose Garden of memories
I know you'll always be
for though you're gone
from this mortal world
In my heart you'll always be

I have been thinking alot of you lately knowing and feeling the same as you were going through your health crisis. It is not an easy task. I remembered what you had told me and that was never give up, that man upstairs has the final say. Although I have endured much pain these last few months, nothing hurts more than not having you here physically with me. I love and miss you so much. May you continue to rest in peace!

Grandma, we miss you so very much
On every Mother’s Day;
And not just then, but every minute,
Since you went away.
You were the center of our lives
Before your soul passed on;
It’s just so hard for us to believe
That you are really gone.
But we celebrate the life you lived
And all the things you gave us;
Our wonderful memories, Grandma, of you
Are the things that will comfort and save us.
Please think of us, as we think of you
With hearts so full of love;
We’re looking up at you, sweet Grandma,
As you look at us from above.
Happy Mother's Day Granny as we reflect on your soul and smile.
Love you Always, Debbie

It has been a few years since I lost my grandma and I still feel the void. She was an exceptional woman that taught me so many lessons that I will carry with me forever. Though I have tried to live my life the best way I can without her - I have never been the same. What I am most at peace with is that when she was here I was good to her and I always let her know I loved her and that she is the most beautiful woman in the world. Before she left I had the opportunity to tell her how much I loved her and how she was the best grandma ever-she held my face with both her hands and kissed my face - (I knew deep within it would be the last time). What I miss the most about my little lady is the look of love and pride in her eyes when I entered the room-I am so blessed to have had a woman in my life that loved me so much. Happy Birthday Granny! Love Debbie

I wanted to share the pictures of you and Uncle Carl as mom and I went to visit him last week and could see the aging on him. We spoke of you telling him that we had just visited your grave and tears were filling his eyes. He threw his hands up high and said that he missed you so much. We knew exactly how he felt! Missing you much, Debbie, Mom and Uncle Carl!

Went to your gravesite yesterday with mom. Thought it was going to be easy but it wasn't. I can't help but reflect on all the good times and where would we be today if you were still here with us. Visited granddad's and uncle James A gravesites as well. When I look back, you 3 were the rocks of the family. The family will never be the same. Missing all of you!

A wife, a mother, a grandma too,
This is the legacy we have from you.
You taught us love and how to fight,
You gave us strength, you gave us might.
A stronger person would be hard to find,
And in your heart, you were always kind.
You fought for us all in one way or another,
Not just as a wife not just as a mother.
For all of us you gave your best,
Now the time has come for you to rest.
You have gone in peace, you've earned your sleep,
Your love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep!

RIP Grandma!

We had a wonderful grandmother,
One who never really grew old;
Her smile was made of sunshine,
And her heart was solid gold;
Her eyes were as bright as shining stars,
And in her cheeks fair roses you'd see.
We had a wonderful grandmother,
And that's the way it will always be.
But take heed, because
She's still keeping an eye on all of us,
So let's make sure
She will like what she sees.

The Best Grandmother Ever!
Love and miss you, Debbie, Richar and Richel!

Grandma, the holidays does not get any easier.  I miss ALL of you so much.  You have gained some of your family with you within the last year, Mom and sister, Cheryl.  I know heaven is overwhelmed right about now.  I just wanted to let you know that none of you are forgotten and I visit your gravesites often with new flowers as I know that you would do the same.  I often find myself thinking and tear drops landing on my cheeks because there was so much that I didn't get a chance to say.  RIP until we all meet again family.  Tell everyone I said hello and they are missed and love FOREVER!

Happy 92nd Birthday Grandma

Shared by Debra Marshall on January 5, 2015

I think about you all the time,
And every day it hurts to cry.
So much has happened in my life,
I'm not sure how hard to try.

Tears are falling constantly,
My heart hurts everyday.
I think about your beautiful smile,
That I pray I see again someday.

The sweet smell of your perfume,
Has slowly faded away.
But all your helpful teachings,
Are always here to stay.

I can't express how much you taught me,
So much I can't explain.
All the times I can remember,
Never once heard you complain.

So many hearts were broken,
The day God called you home.
It seems as though each one of us,
Were left to survive alone.

I know there was a reason,
That you had to leave.
To keep us in your watchful eyes,
So now in God I really do believe.

Love you and missing you much!
Happy 92nd Birthday Granny!
Will ALWAYS LOVE YOU!

Grandad

October is a bitter/sweet month for me.  It is bitter because you were taken away six days before my birthday 10/10.  I can remember that day as if it were yesterday.  The day I got the call, I was DONE!  When you left, a part of  me went with you.  I never knew I could hurt has much as I did.  They always say that GOD makes no mistakes.

I do have comfort in knowing that you and Grandma are together again.  The month of October is the month that I was born - the 16th to be exact.  The two of you took me in as if I was your very own.  That is the sweet part of this whole situation.

Just no that a day doesn't go by that I don't think of the two of you and I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!

Missing you both,

Debbie
