Dear Uncle T, your death is still a shock to us. Today being two years you departed, we remember our fond memories of you. Your laughter, smiles and jokes will forever be cherished. Visiting your grave at the cemetery today gave me solace knowing that your at peace.

It feels weird Popoi (as fondly called by you) writing this tribute for you. I still can’t believe that you are not with us anymore.

Uncle Tony was my only uncle from my mother's side, he was very special to me as well as, others.

My uncle was a very carefree, family-oriented man and I can bet he believed in enjoying life as you only have one life to live.

I’m so sorry that you had to go at such a young age. I Pray wherever you are May your gentle soul rest in peace and May you watch over all of the Elu’s Family.

The unexpected sad news got to the Elu’s family on February 20th 2021 of your demise. The jewel of our family just left us unannounced. It was like a thunderstorm racking my head. The temptation came up to ask God why? But no one questions God. We give glory to God that you lived a fulfilled life. You left behind your wife and 3 children, your 10 sisters and numerous nieces, nephews, in laws, cousins , friends and well wishers. A sociable, respectful, humorous brother is gone!

Your Death came as a shock to me and as you sit in the arms of the Lord, my family, mourn your death. It’s all right as each of us have the Lord beside us as we say our farewells. Your body might be gone from this world but your spirit will live on in our hearts forever. Today we will mourn you in our own way as we pay a tribute to you.

Uncle Tony (Ezennia), I still can't believe I am writing a tribute because of your passing. Words cannot describe this difficult moment, but if this is the last time I get to say goodbye then I know I will do so with the knowledge that I consider myself blessed to have lived this life as your nephew. While we mourn today, we also take comfort in the fact that your mission on earth have been fulfilled. We thank the Lord for your life and bid you farewell until we meet again.

It must be difficult for everyone in the family. With the feeling you are loosing everything. Remember that trees lose their leaves every year and still they stand tall and wait for better days to come. The Lord is your strength.

I'm writing about my brother Ezennia with tears full in my eyes,Ezennia you left this world but your memories are still here, you are one of the most protective brother I've seen, a gentleman that likes everyone around him to be happy, he loves to cook for us and he enjoyed seeing us eating his food, he always likes friends and family around him enjoying. I want to first mention that my Uncle Anthony Ezennia Elu was a special man. Special because he had a gift of bringing people together. What I can remember is the get togethers he will host, which he will bring friends and family together as one. On the 20th February we lost a special edition to this family but we gained an Angel in the sky, without a doubt I know my uncle will look over us and guide us because that’s the type of man he was. A generous and caring man. So as sad as this day is let us take comfort knowing that he is in peace and that his beautiful children Jermaine, Declan, and Jacqueline will honor him and do him proud. Lastly, We all love you and miss you uncle, and save all of us a spot up in heaven.

Anthony Chukwudi Akaolisa Elu. To me? An Uncle, to others a Friend, a Brother, a Husband and most importantly a Father. A man who held roles in all of our lives has left us, but has been taken and welcomed in by God. As sad as it is to think about your sudden departure, we can find solace in the fact that your finally at peace, probably hosting one of your usual parties with our family up above.
