The words you spoke so wisely
Have never been so clear.
All the lessons that you taught me
Still remain right here.
I am left here wishing
To hear your voice one last time,
Once more to hear you sing
That I am your sunshine.
You told me it would be all right,
But I feel that isn’t true.
The only thing to make this better
Is if I was there with you.
I know this isn’t possible,
But it’s hard to think it so.
I know you’re now not suffering,
But I hate to see you go.
I’d let you wear that fanny pack,
I swear I wouldn’t care,
Just to have you back one more time,
Just to have you there.
I’d give a million dollars,
To read one last email,
To decode that secret message
About treasures from a sale.
I know the pain will slowly leave,
And your memories will stay,
Your time with us was special,
And it is often replayed.
My sunshine was taken,
Now my skies are left grey.
Oh, the things that I would give
For only one more day.
You were more than just a Grandma,
You were my best friend.
My life has changed forever,
But I’ll still love you ’til the end.
Adieu Mama

We had a wonderful grandmother,
Even though she was really growing old;
Her smile was made of sunshine,
And her heart was solid gold;
Her eyes were as bright as shining stars,
And in her cheeks fair roses you see.
We had a wonderful grandmother,
And that’s the way it will always be.
But take heed, because
She’s still keeping an eye on all of us,
So let’s make sure
She will like what she sees.
Rest in Peace Mama

I will never forget your kind words.
You welcomed me with big arms.
You believed in me.
You were loved by many.
You believe in true love; and so do I.
Rest in Peace Grandma

Still, we can’t believe our lovely Grandma was taken away from us . We will miss our Grandmother, but her spirit and strength, lives on in each of us and in the lives that she touched. She lives on in me and in all those who have been touched by the love, strength, conviction, wisdom, and beauty of her soul.
Love you grandma – You truly were a special, special woman! You may have passed on, but your memories would always live on within us. Thank you for your sacrifices, your care and concern, your love and everything that you have done for me. I know you are in a much better place. I will be forever grateful and thankful that you are my ‘Grandmother’.

Mummy as I always called you, I was with you on your 80th birthday and never knew that was the last time I would see you. You wept both in pain of my parents’ absence and also, in joy of long life that God had granted you in spite of challenges. You took my siblings and I back to the good years you spent and shared with my mother.

You were a disciplinarian that did not allow waste in the management of her home. You were a teacher by training and calling. This has been revealed in your sacrifices to ensure success of not just your children, but those of us that spent most of our holidays in your home while growing up.

Sleep on in the bosom of your saviour till we meet to part no more.

Dear Mummy,

Your death was a painful exit but we are consoled that you lived a fulfilled life and you are with God. We choose to celebrate you.

You were always happy to see your daughter’s (Abiola) friends and welcomed us with beautiful smiles and we were always excited to see you too.

May your beautiful soul rest in peace, Amen.

God noticed that you’re getting tired and a cure was not to be useful anymore,so he put his arms around you and whispered ‘’Come to me’’

With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you passing away. Although we love you so dearly but we could not make you stay any longer.

A golden heart stopped breathing, hard working
hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us that he only takes the best to himself.

My Grandma a disciplinarian. You were in my life for a very long time, you thought me a whole lots of things while I lived with you.You made me who I am today, although then I use to think you were maltreating me. I could remember those times you scolded me almost all the times not knowing it’s for me to become great person in life. And now you are gone all in a blink of an eye.

I will forever miss you mama. I know you’re in a better place.

Rest In Peace Grandma and I love you forever.

Grandma,as we all fondly call you
You are the true definition of abiyamo tooto, you are a mother to all and sundry, you are my motivator, advicers, inspiration.
You thought me never to give up,never to loose hope, you always say no matter the mistake I have made I should look forward to the better days ahead, your encouragement is what made me that resilient person I am today.

On the day of your demise even before I was told I knew something was wrong that I had to put a call through to my aunty and that was when I heard the news but the good thing is I know and believe
that you are resting in the bossom of your marker

Grandma you will be greatly missed because no one can fill the void
Good bye for now till we meet to part no more

My Mother was a mother of all mothers ,mother of the community and many Orphans. You were a mother indeed, not just to us your children, but to everyone around you. You were a woman of integrity, honesty, a very hardworking and a virtuous woman. I celebrate your exit and I will always miss you, my mother.

My mum was very bold and did not get irritated by anything whatsoever, my mum was an epitome of humility. A caring mother and a God fearing woman.

Your demise came to me as a surprise because I saw you a day prior to your death, I fed you and gave you your drugs which we usually don’t do for you, you do them by yourself. Oh, no wonder my brother insisted I see you the following day which happened to be the same monday you passed on.Little did I know that he had a clear premonition of what was coming, on that same day you left this sinful world.

Keep resting sweet mother you lived a fulfilled life and you were able to put your house in order, this is a privilege to you mummy.

My mother lived all her life for us her children, and so many generatios that passed through her.She was a great woman, an heroin to the very last, a teacher indeed, a discplinarian ,no nosense woman,a strong home builder,an administrator, very intelligent and sacrificing for all,a mentor to everyone around, so adorable, pretty, calculative, strong. A cheerful giver till the last.
Mummy we take solace in God that you're in a better place and above all you knew Christ.

Mummy, ever since I grew up to know you, you have always been a great mother. Always sacrificing for others, putting others interest ahead of yours. Yet firm and disciplined. I was glad to be by your bed side till the last minute of your death.
Above all, I was glad that you died knowing Christ and accepting him as your Lord and saviour. Sleep on mummy, we shall meet again at the feet of the Lord.
