This memorial website was created in the memory of our beloved Mommy, FELICIDAD CRUZ BAUTISTA who was born on March 6, 1929 and joined our Creator on March 2, 2011. We will remember her forever.
She was a devoted wife and mother. She dedicated her life to raising and taking care of her 11 children. Mommy was very loving, thoughtful, selfless, prayerful, hard-working,jolly, forgiving and very appreciative of every little blessing that came her way. She was always young at heart. She could easily relate even to her grandchildren. She was the coolest mom in the world. She had a very good sense of humor and a very light disposition in life, reasons why she never aged. She always looked young. Mommy has always been our best friend.
She taught us all the basic things in life. She was the disciplinarian in the family. She was firm but very kind. We are who we are today because of how she & Daddy brought us up.
Mommy was a lover of music. She was the first singer in the family. At age 80, she was still able to sing so melodiously and had the words of the songs memorized at heart. Her signature song was "What a difference a day makes". Mommy can also do voice impersonation and was very good at it. She was the funniest mom.
Mommy, there are no words good enough to thank the Lord for blessing us with the gift of a mother like you. You had always been our source of strength and inspiration. You were our rock and our refuge. You taught us so many words of wisdom. You had such a childlike faith in the goodness of God. Your legacy will live on as you will live in our hearts forever. We will miss you every day of our life. We will always love you and think about you. Life will never be the same again without you. We honor you for being the remarkable woman that you were.
God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around you, and whispered , "Come to Me"
With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove us He only takes the best.
When I was in kindergarten, Mommy would bring me food during recess. Together we would sit on the swing at my school's playground. That was everyday without fail. During that time, Mommy already had 9 children to take care of but she had time for each one of us. I will never forget those days. They were so precious and I will cherish them for the rest of my life.
