His Life

Olufemi has gone to Heaven

March 2, 2016

Oluwafemi, Born with Love (on labour day), raised with love, now released into the hands of the God of love. He was kind, condiserate, with wisdom beyond his years. He touched our lives, lifted our spririts and filled our family with joy. He was a "bringer together" of people. Siblings, cousins, friends, acquaintances, colleagues....Femi brought them together one and all.

A motivator, an inspriation, no matter how tough the challenge, Femi would say "we've got this". He  loved cars and motor bikes (I'll never forget the high speed rides on the Shagam Abeokuta expressway). My ears actually popped from the speed, that s what made me look up at the speedometer.

His infectious sense of humour got people laughing even before he gets to the punchline of the joke - because he'd be laughing already, everyone would simply join in. He was a son in a million, an irreplacable brother, confidant and friend. You could always go to him for advise on the toughest issues - from investments to family decisions, he would give his wise opinion in a level tone. Not one to raise his voice, (except when attempting to sing :-) yet in a serious moment he could tell you off with just a look or a comment like"why are you laughing now?"

He could light up a room, by simply walking into it with his casual, confident look as he took in the environment. He certainly lit up our lives on family holidays and gatherigs. A brave, gentle, courageous soul...Thank you for bringing the light of your sunshine, your focus, your joy and wisdom into our lives and warming up our hearts with uncomparable love.

I miss you more than words can say.....Mum
