Fernando was a very special person in my life and I am so sad to learn of his passing. I was involved with Big Brothers and he was my first "little" and we developed a great relationship that lasted well after the program to the point that he was a groomsman in my wedding!!! (uploaded a couple of pics from that day) It had been a long time since we spoke and reaching out to find him is how I learned of his death. I thought of him often and will always regret not seeing him before this happened. I shared so many memories with him and was very lucky to have him in my life. Descansa en paz hermano.

'Fernando you were such an important part of my life, I can't seem to accept that you have left us from this world. I cry everyday, and every NIGHT. I would give everything to have been there in your last moments, to have given you a helping hand, and to ell you that everything would be okay. I feel like a part of me has left with you, and I want it back. This world is not the same without you and your intelligent input/argument on everything. Know that you were an instant inspiration to me from the moment I met you. You showed me that life is fun, is carefree, and that to get what I want I could not be afraid. I don't know if the pain I feel in my heart will ever go away, but to just have known you is every bit worth it. I hope to see you one day and I hope to laugh like we use to. Thank you for making me live out of my comfort zone. I love you today and always. Rosayrie."

I have to admit, I gave you a really hard time but I could see how much you loved Jessica and Hannah. I enjoyed our arguments immensely:) RIP Fernando.

Nando It's pretty crazy that you're gone...you died way too young. I only got to hang out with you a few times when you visited but through the years I've heard you call many times to check on Jess and Hannah and they loved you so much. You were a huge part of their lives and I truly believe that Jessica is the strong woman she is today because of you. You will be missed very much.

So blessed and grateful to call you my friend. My vzBFF. Going to work each and everyday will never be the same. I heard this on Monday night and I smiled because it describes you to a tee:
