Farewell Fidelis

August 12, 2015

                                          Farewell Fidelis

On thirteenth December, nineteen sixty nine

You penned your wish on diary lines

No human knew it come true

Cause it sounded like a lightening flash

In four years, your wish was born;

It blossomed into years of joy

Until you returned to your father land

Where destiny had its own plan

Were you happy?

The response is yours

Were you received with brotherly love?

Time and conscience will respond.

AUGUST was pregnant with a plan

To reunite with wife and son

But lo before the trip was made

The roll call of our lord was made

You can’t refuse; you cant postpone

It is His will. We had to part.

But one thing I am sure about

Is we will meet and part no more

Rest and sleep in our lord’s arm

You did your part

Rest assured your wife and kids

Love with undying love

Which no parting will dissolve

By your wife Victoria Ogbuagu
