THE PUREST DEFINITION OF A LOVING MOTHER

Early Life
Monisola was born into the family of Chief John Omoribiyole Babalola (The Ologbonla Obalu of Efon-Alaaye) and Madam Rhoda Oluwakeye Babalola in Efon-Alaaye, both of blessed memory. Florence’s formal education started at St. Stephen’s C.A.C School. She also attended Christ Apostolic Church Secondary Modern School in Efon-Alaaye after which she relocated to Lagos to further her studies and career.

Marriage
She met Engineer Titus Adebodun  in 1965. They then married in 1966 after relocating to Birmingham, UK. Their marriage was blessed with five children: Aderonke, Folashade, Adewale, Temilade, and Adeola. Florence chose not to remarry after the passing of her husband and focused on bringing up her children.

Professional life
Florence furthered her studies whilst in the UK, taking qualifying exams in typing/secretarial studies with The Royal Society of Arts Examinations Board, Pitman Examinations Institute. She held secretarial and sales roles with Avon Cosmetics, Albright & Wilson, Henry Stephens Group and other reputable establishments.  She returned with her family to Nigeria after several years and joined the civil service working with Centre for Management Development (CMD), where she served meritoriously until she retired after attaining the full age of retirement in 2005. She attended many training, development and professional courses with The Polytechnic Ibadan, Administrative Staff College of Nigeria and a host of other in-house training courses at CMD, just to name a few.  She was a very industrious person and had personal businesses selling textiles and renting out building machinery in the late 70s / early 80s.
Religious Activities
Monisola was a committed Christian and a staunch member of Christ Apostolic Church, holding many positions and serving in various capacities until her death. She was very involved in the provision of welfare and emotional support which later became a personal interest in her latter years. She loved giving to the needy and invested her energy in taking care of the poor in her local community.

Interests
Florence was an anglophile and had great interest in the British royal family. She loved life. She loved people and had great love for her extended family members. She was actively involved in sports in her younger years and she enjoyed spending time with loved ones.
Florence passed to her rest peacefully on January 10, 2021
