Florence Gertie Seafring was born on June 15, 1903, in Syracuse, New York, her father, Fred, was 53, and her mother, Amy, was 39. She married Emil Samuel Rennert on December 17, 1920, in Jefferson, New York. They had six children: Gerald, Bernard, Ethel, Elmer, Robert and Albert during their marriage.

At some time, Florence and her husband Emil were separated and Florence lived with longtime friend Bertha Kline Knight, former owner and operator of "Big Bertha's Saloon" until she passed away on February 15, 1992, in her hometown at the age of 88, and was laid to rest in Phoenix, New York.
