Fondly called 'Atong', he was the eldest child of Arsenio and Magdalena (nee Espartero), and loving brother of Clara Portugaleza Zerna, Fidela Portugaleza Gasendo, Juanito, and Crisostomo.  He is now joyfully reunited with his parents and brothers Juanito and Crisostomo, and sister Clara,in the place of perpetual light.
