To our Great Aunt Frances
Kyle and I are lucky to have so many memories with you. Your house was always our favorite place to go! Whether we played with dolls, Lincoln Logs, or model cars, you always got down on the floor to join us. You taught us how to make seven-layer graham cracker cake, and you always fed us our favorite rainbow jell-o. When we told you we didn’t know how to play the piano, you taught us how to play a few songs using our knuckles… we still remember those songs!
One of my favorite memories will always be our trip to Camden Yards, to see Randy Johnson and the Arizona Diamondbacks play the Baltimore Orioles. We knew how much you loved Randy Johnson, and we couldn’t wait to see him play. Your excitement for the game was contagious- we even tried to get his autograph!
I have always admired the artwork you and my grandmother Betty created. You could make anything beautiful! I still have the footstool you painted for me when I was too small to reach the bathroom sink to brush my teeth. It was lovingly used all through my childhood, and I continue to treasure it to this day. I remember you telling me that we are both left-handed, and therefore very creative. I certainly am glad to share that trait with you!
Aunt Frances, you always made Kyle and I feel so special, and very loved. You were always encouraging and playful with us. Your positive and bubbly attitude was infectious, and you made every room you entered brighter. We learned so much from you, and will miss you always. We love you Aunt Frances!
