Frances Talley Puckett, 86, a longtime resident of Granville County died Thursday, November 10th 2011 at Granville Medical Center.

A native of Halifax Co., Va. the widow of Joseph Thomas Puckett and the daughter of the late Robert and Victoria Cole Talley. She was of the Baptist faith and homemaker.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Dr. Lavelle Waters. Burial will be in Hester Baptist Church Cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy P. Foley (Joseph) of Riverview, FL., Betty Puckett of Henderson, a son Wayne Puckett of the home, a brother, Melvin Talley of South Boston, Va., three grandchildren, Tiffany Ross of Henderson, Michael and Brian Foley of Florida and a very special friend, Lowry Willams of Oxford. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Nelson Puckett, two sisters, Irene and Ruth Cole and three brothers O’Neal, Elmo and Lawrence Talley.

Visitation 7:00-8:30 PM Saturday evening, November 12th at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times at the home.
