Frances (Sue) Abbott, age 76, passed away, peacefully, with loved ones at Hospice of Dayton on October 17, 2018. From her birth, March 22, 1942, in Urbana, OH until her passing, she has blessed those within her circle, and throughout, with love, faith, and a hint of mischief. Always a noticeable presence, she lit up the room with her sense of humor and had the ability to become everyone’s “Mom”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Laudie and Cecil Maddox;  brothers, Steve Maddox and James Maddox; grandchildren, Joshua Shaw and Dillon Shaw.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 53 years, Floyd Arliss Abbott; daughters, Tina (David) Butler, Cindy (David) Shaw and Robyn (Rob) Murray; grandchildren, Katrina Stone, Jeff Stone, Jessicca (Matthew) Ongell, Hannah Shaw and Lucas Shaw; great-grandchildren, Neithan Taylor, Mckenzie McInturff, Jayden McInturff, Bailey Stone, Matthew Ongell, Travin Womble, and Kaylynn Brewer; brothers, John(Deborah) Maddox, Bill (Debbie) Maddox; sister-in-laws, Emma Maddox, Debbie Maddox, Bonnie Dickey and Shirley Bohley; Jenna King; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Appreciation and love is expressed to her church family at Meadowdale Baptist Church who have been a blessing in so many ways for most of her journey. In lieu of flowers, the family asks, instead, donations be made to GoFundMe https://www.facebook.com/cindy.a.shaw.54 to provide a service dog for Hannah Shaw. Services will be held from 11-1 on October 23,2018 at Meadowdale Baptist Church, 3686 Haney Rd, Dayton, OH.

Professional arrangements entrusted to W.E. Lusain Funeral Home.

I've been very fortunate to be able to call you my granny , couldn't of asked for a better one.
I'll always cherish the memories we had from showing me recipes to helping you cutting coupons and rolling pennies..you singing your favorite hymns and dancing with papa in the living room.
I love you and miss you very much .

I am so blessed to have had you for my Mom. You have left me with so many gifts (boldness, faith, honesty, unconditional love) that will enable me to handle this world until we are together again. Gifts that I will pass to my children. I will miss you beyond words, Granny Franny. Until then <3
