My heartfelt sympathies to Natalie, Tina, and Frances' loving family. For those of us in the extended family, let us remember the beauty and kindness of Frances Houston Young. She was the last living sibling of my father. When my mother emigrated to the US from Japan, Frances reached out to her with humanity and compassion that this branch of the family not only never will forget, but also values deeply. My mother gave Frances a Japanese artifact, of which I have the companion piece. That always made me feel connected to her even though we lived miles apart. May she travel with the same grace she exuded in real life.
