Francesco Antonio Soscia was born on April 16, 1929 to parents, Maria and Carlo. He was the second of five children. Growing up in Italy during WWII, Francesco went to France to learn masonry and work. Being quick-witted and keen, he learned a lot in France and later set his sights for a better future in Canada.
He married Elisa Sinapi in 1958, and had three sons; Benny, Tony and Sandro. Over the years, he brought many friends and family to Canada with the hopes they too would have a successful life here. With the help of his loving wife, he built a solid and successful foundation for his family.
Francesco will always be remembered as a hard-worker, storyteller, joker, and someone who lived life to the fullest. Always smiling and dancing, his love for his family was unconditional.
Francesco is survived by his loving children Benny, Tony (Nina) and Sandro, eight grandchildren -Frank, Marino (Michelle) Elisa (Matthew), Alessandra (Daroush), Michael, Anthony, Justin and Selena- and great granddaughter -Sierra- and will be missed terribly, and remembered always.

I would like to take this time to express my deepest and most sincere condolences to Sandro, Benny and family. My only regret is that I didn't have another opportunity to sit down with Francesco to joke and laugh just like the barbeque night we spent together at Sandro's house. His humor was a joy to listen to. I never laughed so hard. The stories he told were all relatable to the way we were raised. Thus why the stories were so funny. He was blunt and down to earth. Never beat around the bush and told it like it is. I lived that!! I didn't laugh that hard in a long time. Francesco will be deeply missed and I feel honored to have known him. My prayers and blessings are with you and your family. Rest well my friend...
