My dad, Frank Banman, was quite a character, fun loving, and also a great entertainer of magic and making balloon hats for kids of all ages while being a clown with the Shriners'. He had many affiliations with various clubs around Orange County. Being a member of the B.P.O.E. (Elks), Santa Ana Scottish Rite, several different Shrine Clubs, which included, Los Coyotes, Norwalk Golden Trowel and Al Malaikah. He and mom (Laberta) Squaredanced for 25 years and were Presidents of the local Associated Square Dancers (A [] D). He was a Veteran of the Navy and served during WWII as a photographer. He has left this world a better place just by being here for his 93 years. He's survived by his daughter Elaine, who will miss him greatly.

This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Frank Banman, 93, born on December 4, 1921 and passed away on July 24, 2015. We will remember and miss him forever.

Dear Family of Frank,

I'm sorry that you are experiencing the mourning of losing a love one. Many if not all of us has experienced this, but I would like to share a brief scripture that will may just bring you comfort.

(Acts 24:15) "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."

Thanks for reading.

Bob and I really miss Frank Banman. We live across the street where he saw our house every day from his front door. We were always so welcomed in the Banman home. Visiting the Banmans felt like being with family. Frank was such a joy to be around and Elaine has shown such loving care for her father. We'll miss Frank’s warm smile and sense of humor. He lived such an active and fulfilling life, and he begins a new adventure now with Laberta and his loved ones, who are waiting for him.

What a blessing it was to have Uncle Frank in our lives. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word to say. He was well respected by everyone who was fortunate enough to have been a part of his life. He will most certainly be missed by all. ❤️❤️❤️

Lost an old magician friend today, Frank Banman. I last saw him several weeks ago paying him a visit in at a care center. Although he was not active in magic in recent years, he often hosted magic workshops at his home in Buena Park and a Life member of OCMC.

Uncle Frank was the best! He was such a loving and talented husband, father, uncle, friend and best of all he made magic for all of us. I remember his pictures that he always took at all of our family gatherings. I was so impressed with his Polaroid camera and how we could see those pictures in such a short amount of time. He was always on the cutting edge of the photo world.
Elaine - you have been the model of the loving daughter who cherished family above all else. I am so in awe of the way you cared for your Dad when it would have been so easy to let someone else do it. You are loved.
I know Aunt LaBerta, Anne, Frank J and Steven have just been loving on him since his arrival in their arms.
Always know that I am just a phone call away and will come be with you whenever you need me. I know that I am in no way a substitute for the family you have lost, but I am family and always will be.
 I love you cousin! <3

He served his country during WWII, he was a photographer, dancer, and a wonderfully talented Magician,he was know as "Knarf the magicain"( Frank spelled backwards) he dazzled many with his magic and card tricks! I will always remember his kind smile, his wit and his love of family. I want to say how very proud I am of my cousin Elaine for the wonderful care she gave him over the years and how she kept him at home, I know how hard that is because my mom,Lois suffered from the same disease of dementia. May he rest in the arms of angels and be joined by all those who made it to heaven before him. Love you to the moon and back! Always in my Heart!

The hearing Aide battery

July 25, 2015

Years ago Uncle Frank and Aunt LaBerta were here on the east coast(Pa) visiting with us. We were all sitting around the table and Frank asked LaBerta to get him his evening pills and while she was at it a new battery for his aide. As we ate supper and he took his pills, he said LaBerta where's my battery, she said I put it next to your pills! Well we all laughed at first realizing that he must have scooped it up and swallowed it with the pills, but me being the nurse ,I said it's got acid in it and we better get you checked out, I called my friend Dr. Friedman ,a gastroenterologist ,and he met us at the ER. Sure enough an x- Ray confirmed it was passing through the stomach and into the intestines. Doc said it would pass and that Frank should look out for its return! Lol! Uncle Frank joked with everybody in the ER. When anyone asked how he liked it here in PA ,he would say " I got a charge out of it" even years later I tell this story to friends and I laugh all over again!
