Gramps

March 7, 2019

I can't believe it has been four years, and I miss you just as much as the day we lost you. I wish we had just I bit longer with you. I wish we could say goodbye, I wish we didn't have to say goodbye at all. Love you

Grammy is doing good still beautiful and mostly happy, I think she misses you a lot, the family is not what it once was and it's sad, I think that is what's making her very sad I can see it in her eyes. I think if we as a family could be what we once were that would make her very happy.

Well, Gramps, I have to go kids and all but I'll come back on here when I can, talk to you in my dreams love yha.

Family photo taken approximately between 1935 and 1937.  Kenny, sitting on his mother's lap was born in 1935.  In this picture he appears to be more than a year old.  Dorothy, born Nov. 1937 is not included in the picture.  Dad (Frank), leaning against his father appears to be at least 3 years old.  Thus the conclusion that this photo was taken between 1936 and Nov. of 1937.

Hamilton Cotton, Ajax

March 14, 2015

Hamilton Cotton had closed its doors but Dad was kept on to maintain the property for a year (I believe).  He took me with him once to cut the grass at the front of the building.  I was pretty young at the time.

So, Dad is pushing the lawn mower and I'm running around and I tripped and fell. I put my hands out and touched the motor on the lawn mower and burned my hands.  Dad was pretty horrified!. He took me inside the building and bandaged me up.  :)

Hornets

March 11, 2015

Dad and I were loading the manure wagon in Newtonville and having a conversation it was a Saturday and if I remember correctly I really didn't want to be there,  Dad of course was a little irrate and said when we are done you can go with your friends.  So with a grumble to myself I continued to help.  All of a sudden Dad starts swatting at his head and waving his arms in the air,  I stopped to look thinking okaaay my father has lost his mind! and as I was about to ask what the problem was he yells RUN!!! get outta here!!! so I turn to do just that and trip over the pitch fork I was using I was up and running like a shot with dad right behind me.  When we get to the house I turned to Dad to say What the heck was that all about and noticed 2 or three stings on his face and thats when he said we hit a hornets nest, all of a sudden he starts laughing and says you should have seen your face when I yelled run! and then he starts laughing even harder and says howed you get all covered in manure! And I thought sheesh! thats what happens when panic hits and  you trip over a pitch fork.  as I explained that,  we both had a good laugh.  I still remember that look and laugh today.  The neighbours must have thought we were crazy!!!!
