I will miss all of your inspirational stories that only you could tell Fred. You had a great impact on my life and how I looked at life with your words of wisdom. You always took the time to get to know people and always had a good way of telling about and always including your family in all of your conversations. You were always very proud of them. We will all miss you Fred.     Marty Davis   McDonald's

Riding snowmobiles, water skiing, going to Cubs games, the hunting farm up north, tours of the processing plant, getting space pens, Toblerones, incredible steaks, hot tubbing, camping... My childhood is so filled of these memories and so much more because of Papa Fred and Mama Donna's generosity. Fred was an amazing leader and a crazy hard worker. I just put in a 16 hour day today so I think some of that wore off on me :) I love you all so very much and miss you even more. The whole Luers family was such a big part of my growing years and has greatly impacted the man I have become today.

My sincerest condolences to you, Donna, and the other family members left behind. Fred was a wonderful man and like a second father to me. I'll never forget when Kathy and I walked into the house one weekend when we were in college and he said, "You girls are getting fat!" We probably weighed all of 120 each! I loved his candid approach and how he treated me like another daughter. Wish I could get back there for the services but know that I'm hugging all of you from afar. Peace to you, Fred, and may you have fun dancing in heaven with Bethani. xo

I can remember one day Suzanne Donna and my self took a trip to costco, came back to the house and Fred had this strange look on his face, as we all walked in the house we could tell why. He lite a candle and it nearly burnt the house down. He took it in stride, but he swore "we left the candle burning" .... We all had a pretty good laugh after service pro came in and cleaned it all up..... You will be missed Grampa Fred. Its reassuring to know that you and Bethani will be together..... God Bless you

A year or so ago, Amanda, Scottie, and I went to visit Grandma Donna and Papa Fred. We got to talking about music so we decided to play a little Don Williams (which Papa Fred loved). As soon as the music came on Papa Fred started dancing in his seat, and cracked us up with the silly faces he made. He was always ready to entertain us wether it was with a little jig, a story (that sometimes made no sense to us) haha, or playing his harmonica. I will miss our little visits that were so simple, yet so meaningful. Love you so much Papa Fred!!!
