Celebration of Life will take place Friday, October 15, 2021 at Phillips Temple (3620 Shiloh Springs Road/Trotwood OH 45426). Visitation will begin at 10:00am and service to follow at 11:00am. Interment at West Memory Gardens.

Fredrick Ekwe Niffa was born on the 23rd of August 1945 into the Amadi Odum Royal Family of Mgbu Ehioka in Oduoha Ogbakiri in Rivers State of Nigeria. He was of the Ikwerre Ethnic Tribe,the grandson of the late Eze Didi Amadi Odum . His mother was the late Princess Constance Olu Amadi.  Fredrick attended Ogbakiri Central School, Okporowo Ogbakiri, and County Grammar School Ikwerre Etche respectively where he had his primary and secondary education.

He worked in the Nigerian Customs Preventive Services. He resigned on attaining the rank of a Senior Customs Officer before proceeding to the United States for further studies in 1973.

He attended and received a B.S. Degree at Central State University, Wilberforce, Ohio where he graduated with Magna Cum Laude in Accounting. He later attended and received a Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University with a Business focus.

Fredrick was married to Christine V. Ohauntil 1990; from that union two sons were born, Emeka Fredrick and Ndubisi Valentine Niffa.

He married Sheila L. Lloyd in October 1997 and remained married to her until the time of his death. Fredrick was an entrepreneur owning several businesses and served as a substitute teacher for the Dayton Public Schools. Fredrick was a faithful member of Phillips Temple Church and enjoyed attending the Men's Sunday School classes at Phillips. He was also an active member of Wesley Dayton’s senior group.

Fredrick was preceded in death by parents; Steve Niffa, mother Constance Amadi, son Ndubisi V. Niffa and stepson Rashaan M.Lloyd,siblings; Mildred and Alfred of Nigeria.

He leaves to cherish his memory; devoted wife Sheila L. Niffa, son Emeka Niffa, granddaughter Nneoma Niffa, stepdaughter Sara Jones, stepson Caleb (Toni) Jones, stepson Micah Jones, only surviving sibling Chief Godwin Amadi, (Princess Mrs. Ngozi Amadi), Mrs. Victory Uzuigwe,Victor Obisike Amadi,Alexis Azunotu Amadi,Ihuoma Emmanuella Amadi, lifetime friend Jide Solola and a host of other family members and friends.

In addition to his family, Fred will be missed by members of his age grade, the Oganuruhu Age Grade of Oduoha Ogbakiri (to whom they nicknamed Fredrick as; John Bull).

Fredrick was a very gentle, intellectual person and was always ready to challenge someone on politics, current events, education and football. Fredrick lived a peaceable life, he believed in Jesus Christ as the author and finisher of his faith. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
