I still say I Love You,
But now there's no reply.
I always feel your presence
As if you never left my side.

I remember your comforting voice.
Now there's not a sound.
Only echoes from the past
Follow me around.

You're always by my side,
But I can't hold your hand.
The reason why God took you
I find hard to understand.

Summer days seem much shorter.
Dark nights just linger on.
Dreams turn into nightmares
When the one you love has gone.

But real love never fades.
It still burns like the sun.
Although they're far away,
Those memories go on and on.

Her spirit will never die
It shines like the stars.
I know you're sleeping in heaven,
But you're living in my heart.

Thanks Fr. Thabo for all your guidance and blessings and wise words, you always knew what to say. You thought me what family life is really about. I'm going to miss those rainy Saturday morning masses. Rest easy Fr. T-Bos

How do I start to say thank you for spiritually leading me to where I am today?
Being far from home, you helped me stay grounded by visiting me, praying with & for me, teaching me how to be a proclaimer of the word, how to be a great sacristan for the lunch time mass considering how many times I had messed up your readings… You just gently turned the pages and gave me “the look” from the alter.
Our very many conversations keep playing on repeat in my head.
You were a light to many, your dedication to your flock is unrivalled.
Life is not fair! Its not fair that the parish will be without your booming voice and contagious laugh. Things will never be the same!
I miss you dearly.
May your gentle & humble soul rest in eternal peace.
Amen

My dear Fr Thabo.
You touched Denzel and I in a very special way through your spiritual guidance and wonderful jokes. We were so blessed to have you in our lives. The void you left is so painful to accept but we take comfort knowing you are in Heaven watching and praying over us. The Angels are truly rejoicing.

You have reached the ultimate destination of the universe. We say that Fr Thabo has “departed,” but God says that he has “arrived.” May your amazing soul, wonderful smile find eternal rest. RIP my most amazing Parish Priest

Will never forget you Father Thabo the teaching and guidance you show on me especially the time I came to you crying and sometimes you asked me what's happening and the minute I explain you said:Don't ever let yourself down be strong and keep going and don't allow anyone to look you down cause know one has know idea what's going on and even if you tell them there's nothing they can do except trusting God Himself and tomorrow will be better than this"and of cause is better than yesterday Father Thabo, may you rest in peace AMEN

Hello Fr Thabo
I still cannot believe you are not on earth with us anymore.
But we take comfort in the fact that you are with God the father.
For this reason, we pray for the repose of your soul in Heaven, where we shall see you when our pilgrim on earth also comes to an end.
We ask this through Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with God the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.
Amen

Our dear Father Thabo, we shall miss you so much. We were so looking forward to having you back in Church. Through you we saw what Jesus meant when He asked us to serve cheerfully. You were truly the joyful one. The passion that you had for God and the Blessed Sacrament was so evident it was almost tangible. Your devotion to your parishioners was clear, we saw this when you made yourself available whenever we needed our confessions heard.

My children served you during Sunday Mass and they were deeply impressed by your devotion to your vocation and the example that you set.

May you rest in eternal peace dear Padre, we look forward to seeing you again when our turn comes.

Padre Thabo Motshegoa

It has been very difficult for me to believe that you are gone. You spoke to me on Tuesday night and we laughed after the rosary and in your usual jovial way you made me and my family laughed and you end the video call with WHATEVER. Your homilies on a daily basis is a reminder to me that you were guided and filled with gift of the Holy Spirit. You were truly a Priest forever. It was nice to have served with you and my kids at mass.
O God, Thou didst raise Thy servant, Fr. Thabo Motshegoa.,
to the sacred priesthood of Jesus Christ, according to the Order of Melchizedek,
giving him the sublime power to offer the Eternal Sacrifice, to bring the Body and Blood of Thy Son Jesus Christ down upon the altar, and to absolve the sins of men in Thine own Holy Name. We beseech Thee to reward his faithfulness and to forget his faults, admitting him speedily into Thy Holy Presence, there to enjoy forever the recompense of his labours.
This we ask through Jesus Christ Thy Son, our Lord.
Amen.

In the silence of the sacristy

I had the priviledge of not only serving you at the holy sacrifice of the mass, but also to sit with you and share coffee and a hot cross bun.
It was in the moments before or after daily mass, in the sacristy as we shared a moment of silence or prayed the prayer to St Michael, that I was able to see the true love that you had for our Blessed Lord.
Requiem æternam dona ei, Domine℟. Et lux perpetua luceat ei:℣. Requiescat in pace.℟. Amen.℣. Eternal rest, grant unto him/her, O LORD,℟. And let perpetual light shine upon him/her.℣. May he/she rest in peace.℟. Amen.
