“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” - Psalms 34:18
Lost for words!
My earliest memories of you were over 40 long years ago now when you lived at Block 7, Flat 12, Metropolitan Housing Scheme, Games Village, Surulere, Lagos.
Even after over four decades, I still very much remember :
- that you radiated beauty, love and kindness and took great efforts to light
up the faces of all those you came in contact with.
- how you ensured Christmastime was a thing of great joy and made many of
us look forward to it year after year.
- how you ensured that birthdays were to be celebrated and got the very best
out of celebrants.
- that you set the pace and sought the best for the proper education of your
children.
- that you were a strict disciplinarian yet a lover of children.
- that you were kindhearted to a fault.
- that you were a model mum and many of us looked up to you in diverse
ways.
- that you never neglected the Church of God.
No words can truly heal the pains of losing the irreplaceable treasure and titan that you really are.
My heartfelt condolences to all those our great Mum left behind.
Sun re O - the great and most beloved mother of ‘Kunle, ‘Kayode, ‘Yinka and others.
May the Great Comforter heal the entire family and May her most gentle soul rest in eternal peace. Amen
