Gabriel "Chinky" Apodaca, 33, of Cheyenne died May 26 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 25, 1977.
Gabriel was employed with Air Asbestos for a number of years.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Gabriel loved spending time with his daughter, Asia, and was very family-oriented. He also enjoyed listening to his music.
Gabriel is survived by his mother and stepfather, Diana L. and Adan Rivera, Sr.; his companion, Tanya Coletti; daughter, Asia A. Apodaca; son, Christopher Gill; brother, Adan J. Rivera; sister, Sierra Buelow; all of Cheyenne; grandmother, Linda Pando and Lucy Bargas, both of Cheyenne; aunts, Tina Romo of Riverside, Calif., and Laura Zaragoza of Calimesa, Calif.; uncles, John Pando of Denver, and Mario Apodaca and Reuben Martinez, both of Cheyenne; cousins, Joseph Apodaca, Matthew Compos, Isaac Apodaca, Dominic Apodaca, Rudy Apodaca, Robert Apodaca, Lexie Apodaca, Elizabeth Romo, Amanda Romo, Isaac Zaragoza, Nash Martinez, Szabo Martinez, Esther Martinez, Adrina Apodaca, Jolena Apodaca, Little Joe Apodaca, Gloria Romo, D'Karlo Lira and numerous others.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Vera D. Apodaca; two grandfathers, Julian Pando and Robert G. Apodaca Jr. and an aunt, Debra Apodaca.
Viewing will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel with Reuben Zaragoza officiating.
Honorary casketbearers will be Demi Coletti, Matthew Compos, Daniel Sena, Adan J. Rivera, Dieter Coletti, Mario Apodaca, Joseph Apodaca, Tanya Coletti, Adan Rivera Sr., Marco Magana, Dominic Apodaca, Jimmy Martinez and Isaac Apodaca.
Cremation will take place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
Friends may contribute to the National Kidney Foundation.
