Gael Ann Wyant was born and raised in San Diego, CA.  She graduated from Clairemont High School in 1970 and attended San Diego State University shortly after.  At the young age of 23, Gael met the love of her life, Dana.  The two married on February 4, 1978 which was the beginning of an amazing life together. Gael became a local business owner who was extremely involved with the Rancho Penasquitos community. Her endless creativity was brightly visible in the many projects she was involved in.  Pop Warner, Town Council, Chamber of Commerce, PTA, and she began the Miss Penasquitos Pageant. Many hearts were touched by Gael through her love of volunteering.

Gael's greatest and most rewarding part of her life was her family. She was a fun loving person who's dedication to her husband, daughters and grandchildren was apparent in many ways. Gael always wanted the best for her family and she and Dana worked hard to provide a beautiful life for the ones they loved.

Gael is remembered with love by her husband, Dana Wyant, of 41 years, daughters, Holly (Jeff) and Amber (Daniel), grandchildren, Joshua, Gavin, Braeden, Ashlie, Anthony, DJ, and Ashlee...and her beloved dog Ginger.

I am sooo sorry to hear this news about Gael's passing. I remember her having so much fun riding on the Bahia Belle Boat all the way across to the other side. I think she was just using a cane to walk around at that time, or maybe even a walker. She was smiling ear to ear...sooo happy to be riding outside at night...even though it was pretty cold that night all the way to the other hotel!

I'm saddened to hear of Gael's passing. I knew her from our high school days at Clairemont High, and always remembered her as vibrant, loving and friendly to everyone. Her warm smile and friendly manner were contagious. Condolences to her family, and may she rest in peace.

I met you at your beautiful daughter Amber’s wedding and you were holding your sweet little dog. You gave me a hug and I could see the kindness in your eyes and the grace in your stance. You raised a caring, compassionate and thoughtful daughter in Amber. I do know this, you loved and were loved in return, and had a heart for animals and nature... you left too soon, may you Rest In Peace.

Gael and I were friends in high school on the volleyball team and track team. She was always running after me to see if I was doing the right thing? When really she just wanted to be sure I was following her directions!! She was so bossy!! But deep down inside she just cared about me and wanted what was best for me. Gael and I were always teammates and super competitive on the field.
